We are currently looking for a Master Research Intern to join the team in Delft to research about Soil Deposition Site Selection to start in 2026 .

We are looking for enthusiastic master's students that will help us make a difference within our Environment & Sustainability team . We are flexible with the start of the internship. Please specify which is your preference on your motivation letter.

Often healthy soil becomes available during this activity, and a place needs to be found where to move this soil. What location makes the most positive impact? How far is it from the retrieval site? Your assignment is to create maps that support this decision making, for example identifying issues with water dispersion on agricultural lands.

Main responsibilities

• Investigate potential datasets.
• Develop solutions and clearly document your findings.
• Create maps for soil site selection.

Requirements

• You are a Master's Student in Geoscience and remote sensing .
• You have experience with Python , and common geospatial packages such as GeoPandas and rasterio .
• You have experience with geospatial tools such as QGIS .
• You are creative and independent.
• You must be enrolled in the master's degree for the whole duration of the internship .
• You are based in the Netherlands.
