THE POSITION

As Receptionist within Facility Services, you make sure that our offices in Rotterdam and Gorinchem run smoothly every day. You are the first point of contact for visitors, suppliers and colleagues, and your work directly supports the heart of our organisation. From managing the reception desk to handling phone calls and administrative support, you play a key role in ensuring a professional and welcoming environment.

YOUR IMPACT

In this role, you ensure that everyone who enters Van Oord feels valued and respected. With your energy, service mindset and attention to detail, you help create a workplace where people can perform at their best. Whether you are registering visitors, coordinating appointments or carefully handling sensitive information, you contribute to the trust and professionalism that define our organisation.

Your responsibilities include:

• Receiving and welcoming visitors with a personal touch
• Registering visitor details and issuing passes
• Answering and transferring phone calls and managing appointments
• Reserving meeting rooms and supporting with administration
• Handling sensitive information with care and confidentiality

YOUR WORKPLACE

Based at our head office in Rotterdam, you will enjoy an inspiring workspace with a beautiful view of the Maas and access to an in-house gym to boost your wellbeing.

ABOUT YOU

You bring experience, energy and a service-minded mindset to the team. Here's what we're looking for:

• A Secondary Vocational Education (MBO) level and around 10 years of experience in a similar role
• Strong communication skills, a valid BE driver's licence and good command of English
• A flexible attitude towards working hours and location - you'll work in both Rotterdam and Gorinchem
• A positive team spirit with the confidence to take initiative and work independently
• Availability from 32 hours per week, including Fridays
