Design Engineer

Tilburg

As a Design Engineer, you will work from our head office in Tilburg. Together with your colleagues from the Engineering & Design department, you work on the project preparation and designs of our unique temporary water infrastructures.

We work worldwide on the biggest projects in industry, expo and event sectors including Tomorrowland, Sziget, Lowlands, Olympics, World Cup games, Formula 1, temporary housing and emergency hospitals. How cool is it to play a crucial role in the success of these?

After initial training, you will create and modify designs based on our customers' requirements. You will work closely with our project managers, Fleet and Sales, and you can count on support from your immediate colleagues/manager in the E&D department.

You are the liaison between the Sales department and Operations. You ensure smooth project preparation and monitor the agreed deadlines. You are an important discussion partner for the internal and external customer, subcontractors and suppliers, who are located worldwide. You visit (potential) project sites and you think about and contribute to improvements. You make project calculations, are responsible for budgeting in the sales process together with the sales team; you elaborate the projects technically, you make the project drawings and an initial project planning. After our client's approval, you correctly hand over the projects to the Operations department.

You will report to the Manager Engineering & Design.

What makes you the right candidate?

• HBO working and thinking level, e.g. obtained through training in technical business administration or mechanical engineering or through experience;
• Experience with CAD software is a plus;
• Good knowledge of the English language in word and writing, Dutch is a plus;
• You are a problem solver, analytical and a team player;
• Caring about water quality is a matter of course for you;
• You have an eye for detail, a hands-on mentality and think out of the box;
• You are in possession of a driving licence and live within 1 hour travel distance from Tilburg.
