Pâtissier

Are you creative and do you make the most beautiful desserts, mignardises and sweets in accordance with the restaurant's high quality standards? Then we are looking for you!

The Dylan Amsterdam is looking for a passionate Pâtissier. As Pâtissier, you will cook at a high quality level, and lead the day-to-day operations of the pastry section. This includes concerns à la carte desserts and mignardises for Restaurant Vinkeles, to Room Service orders, as well as desserts for Bar Brasserie OCCO and Events. Restaurant Vinkeles was establish in 2006 in an 18th-century bakery with a rich history. In the role of Pâtissier, you will support the Sous Chef, and supervise and mentor junior pastry chefs and commis. Additionally you will work closely with the kitchen team and collaborate with Executive Chef Jurgen van der Zalm. You will ensure that your partie runs smoothly and take care of orders with suppliers, mise en place, organization and monitoring the HACCP plan, among other things. Also working out proposals for new dishes and preparing recipes. For quality control, all dishes are prepared according to recipe and planning.

Who are you?

• You are possession of a degree of the SVH education or a similar education.
• You have gained enough relevant working experience within equivalent hotels and/or restaurants.
• You are fluent in the English language. Dutch is a pre
• You are a team player, but you can work independently as well.
• You are stress resistant, flexible and enthusiastic.
