As a Transport Operator at Sif, you play a crucial role in managing material flows and processing residual streams, making a significant contribution to the energy transition. Sif is one of the largest manufacturers of steel tubes (up to 2,000 tons) for offshore wind turbines.

Your responsibilities

You have a crucial role in the hall, ensuring that others have the right materials and that everything runs smoothly. You look ahead and are willing to make decisions. The process runs smoothly because you always have an overview of what is happening around you. Thanks to your initiatives, the welder has his materials on time, and the hulls are in the right place. As a Transport Operator, you have a responsible job where you work independently. These are some of your tasks:

• You unload and transport hulls and other materials using an overhead crane/magnet crane according to lifting plans.
• You scan hulls and register the check-in of plates.
• You perform visual checks on the lifting equipment.
• You unload push barges and load AGVs in the inlet harbor.
• You move hulls, welding aids, and materials.
• Using a forklift, you separate waste and ensure its disposal.

With your VCA certificate, crane instruction and forklift experience, you are well prepared. You possess;

• You have a VCA Basic certificate in Dutch or English or are willing to obtain one.
• For the Maasvlakte location, an aerial work platform certificate is mandatory.
• You are decisive and take initiative.
• You have crane/lifting instruction.
• You have a forklift certificate.
• Willing to work in our 3-shift system.
• Startdate is in negotiation.

• An excellent month salary between €2873 and €3860 based on a 40-hour workweek.
