• In your role as a Databricks Data Engineer, you will work closely with experienced colleagues on Business Intelligence, Big Data and AI projects. These projects are mainly carried out in the Microsoft Azure Cloud.
• As a Databricks Data Engineer, you will help our clients build scalable data platforms and work on projects in various industries, each with their own challenges.
• Together with the team, you will develop the ETL flows needed to retrieve the data from the source systems, transform it according to the predefined business logic, and integrate it into the central data warehouse or offer it on the central data platform.
• Data quality and robustness of the ETL processes are of great importance.
• Innovation and knowledge sharing are high on our agenda. We are always looking for innovation and improvement at our customers. You will get plenty of opportunities to actively participate in this.
• You are constantly improving your technological skills by obtaining and maintaining Microsoft and Databricks certifications.

What you need to succeed:

• You have a bachelor's or master's degree, preferably in (Business) Computer Science or Business IT & Management or a related field.
• You are passionate about data driven solutions and you have an infectious enthusiasm about data & cloud services.
• You have experience as a Databricks Data Engineer with a strong focus on Azure Cloud technology.
• You have experience in some or all Microsoft Azure Data Services (Data Lake, Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure SQL Server, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Explorer, Azure DevOps, ...)
• You have advanced knowledge of Python, SQL and/or Scala.
• You are a flexible, independent and collegial colleague.
• Preferably you built work experience in a consulting environment.
• Good communication skills (both in English and Dutch), customer focus and accuracy are also very important in this role.
• You work according to a hybrid employment policy: from the Cegeka office near your place of residence (Ghent, Hasselt, Antwerp, or Leuven), combined with working from home and on site at the customer.
