What you'll do

At Salto CloudWorks, we're building the future of access control. Are you looking for an opportunity to contribute to a large-scale, complex product and see the real-time impact of your work on hundreds of thousands of users worldwide?

As a ProductDesign Intern , you'll support our design team in creating engaging and intuitive digital experiences across our Salto KS platforms, including mobile and web products. You'll assist with research, design tasks, and collaboration with stakeholders while learning industry best practices and how to contribute to real-world design projects. This internship is a hands-on opportunity to strengthen your UX/UI skills and grow with mentorship from experienced designers.

You Will

• Assist with gathering user requirements and insights under guidance from the Head of Design and design team.

• Support the creation of UI components and navigation assets for both mobile and web platforms.

• Help prepare wireframes, mockups, and low to mid-fidelity visual designs.

• Collaborate with cross-functional team members (product and engineering) to understand design goals and communicate your ideas clearly.

• Participate in design reviews and iterate on designs based on feedback.

• Help maintain and contribute to the visual language used in our design system.

This internship is structured to help you develop the following skills

• Applying research to design decisions, including user interviews, competitor analysis, and usability feedback.

• Translating user needs into wireframes and design solutions.

• Using the industry leading design tool Figma.

• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to bring designs closer to development.

• Understanding UX strategy and how design complements business and product goals.

Your profile

• Passionate about UX/UI design and eager to learn in a fast-moving product environment.

• A clear communicator who can share ideas constructively and explain design thinking.

• Curious and open-minded, you ask questions and seek feedback to improve.

• A problem-solver who can bring empathy to understanding users' needs.

• Reliable, organized, and proactive, willing to contribute to team goals and handle constructive feedback.

• Familiar with basic design and prototyping tools and excited to expand your skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with user testing or feedback collection.

• Basic understanding of interaction design principles.

• Portfolio or school project examples showing design thinking.

• Familiarity with design systems or component libraries.
