Senior Accountant

As a Senior Accountant at Chiesi, you play a key role in shaping the financial foundation of a Dutch entity within a stable, fast growing international organization. What you will be doing

As Senior Accountant, you oversee all accounting activities for the Dutch entity. You understand the impact of accurate and compliant accounting on the business and act as a trusted partner for internal stakeholders. In addition, you contribute to Benelux activities such as intercompany processes, transfer pricing and accounts payable workflows.

Your key tasks and activities will be:

• Independently manage statutory requirements, year-end closing processes, and internal/external audits.
• Ensure a strong internal control environment.
• Deliver accurate and timely financial statements.
• Act as key user for the PR/PO process and SAP workflow; coordinate with relevant internal teams.
• Train and support colleagues on accounting processes and policies.
• Perform month-end activities including general ledger analysis and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Coordinate travel & expenses within the T&E tool.
• Calculate and submit all relevant local taxes and declarations; collaborate closely with tax advisors.
• Provide financial information to internal stakeholders upon request.
• Gather data and prepare financial reports as directed by the Accounting Manager.
• Proactively identify risks and propose clear, actionable improvements.

Who are we looking for?

You have a solid financial background, enjoy taking ownership of processes, and can communicate effectively across teams.

• Bachelor-level education in Finance, Accounting or similar.
• At least 5 years’ experience in a comparable accounting role.
• In-depth understanding of Dutch accounting rules and local tax regulations.
• Strong technical knowledge of IFRS.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Detail-oriented, proactive and skilled at managing multiple stakeholders.
