The Naval Architect position is a full-time, on-site role located in Gorinchem (the Randstad), the Netherlands. In this position, the Naval Architect prepares detailed 2D and 3D drawings, plans, and construction documentation for various vessel types, working closely with senior naval architects and engineers. Daily tasks include performing basic calculations, assisting with structural layouts, checking drawings against regulatory and class requirements, and coordinating technical information with shipyards and suppliers. The role also involves supporting design reviews, updating documentation based on feedback, and ensuring that all plans meet quality, safety, and performance standards. The team member is expected to collaborate with colleagues, communicate clearly, and manage tasks within agreed timelines.

Qualifications:

• Candidates should have an BSc (HBO), Msc (WO) or equivalent degree in Naval Architecture, with practical knowledge of hull design, stability, and vessel construction and demonstrate fluency in spoken and written English;
• Experience with structural analysis and related calculations to support safe and efficient vessel construction;
• Background in marine engineering or closely related disciplines, with understanding of ship systems and integration;
• Familiarity with aluminium and high-speed vessel standards and regulations is beneficial;
• Proficiency in CAD / Rhino with 2D and 3D modelling software used for ship design and drafting;
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications;
• Effective communication skills in English; Dutch language skills are an advantage;
• Ability to work on-site in Gorinchem (the Randstad) and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.

The Draftsman/Constructor will be responsible for processing detailed designs and technical drawings for the ongoing projects. Day-to-day tasks include working closely with engineers and designers to develop accurate and functional drawings and documents. The role requires attention to details and a commitment to deliver high-quality work within reasonable time.

Qualifications:

• Candidates should have an associate's (MBO), or BSc (HBO), or equivalent degree, and demonstrate fluency in spoken and written English;
• Proficiency in CAD or Rhino software and 2 and 3D insight;
• Preferably experience in creating technical drawings;
• Ability to work collaboratively with a team and independently;
• Relevant experience in vessel design is not required, but is a plus;
• Effective communication skills in English; Dutch language skills are an advantage;
• Familiarity with aluminium and high-speed vessel standards and regulations is beneficial;
• Ability to work on-site in Gorinchem (the Randstad) and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
