In this position you will p rovide specialised knowledge and skills in a specific area of expertise to drive innovation and support successful execution of projects, initiatives, innovations and/or daily operations. You identify the frameworks and guidelines that apply to their specific area of expertise, translate them into a business context to enable business results, and provide guidance to ensure efficiency and compliancy.

How will you help power the Netherlands?

• You will become one of the trusted advisors within TenneT, liaising with other network operators, market parties and regulatory authorities and to ensure that the TenneT vision is facilitated by regulation.
• You oversee the development of network codes, guidelines, and subsequent terms and conditions or methodologies from EU legislative processes through to their implementation in the Dutch national regulatory framework. With your in-depth understanding of the European electricity system and its regulatory framework, you can translate issues in your field of expertise into practical policy proposals.
• You have, or are willing to develop, a good understanding of ENTSO-E and how it operates. You have a good understanding of the European landscape, including the playing fields of European Commission's Directorate-General for Energy (DG ENER), the Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER), and fellow TSOs. You can interact smoothly with these parties.
• Furthermore, you will cooperate with international experts on the performance of legal mandates at ENTSO-E bodies, in particular the Market Committee (MC) and the "All TSOs" processes, as well as other expert and working groups or task forces. This relates particularly to topics that have an impact on several Committees or are directly controlled by the ENTSO-E Board.
• Where useful if new areas need to be integrated into our data sharing and IT tool landscape, you will step in. This will require attention in the future, as our business is growing more complex and knowledge exchange must be ensured.
• To stay connected with the 'working floors', you will be part of an international working environment with the relevant ENTSO-E working groups that have regulatory relevance, and you will coordinate European topics that cover several business areas internally.

Design translates TenneT's strategy into a future-proof vision of the energy system. Colleagues within this division have a front-row view of today's energy system and especially of tomorrow's. Design provides direction for system choices, designs the foundation of the energy system of the future, and creates room for faster implementation. In close alignment with our customers and public stakeholders, Design determines what is needed in the long term to ensure security of supply and system integrity.

Jouw profiel & achtergrond

• A Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Economics or Law, or a comparable qualification, with an interest in energy regulation.
• You have experience in the area of electricity regulation and ideally also familiar with other areas of the TSO and energy business, such as system operations, IT platform performance or electricity system planning.
• You have the ability to combine detailed knowledge in your area of expertise with a broad overview, and adapt your communication style to suit different levels of knowledge.
• You work in a self-driven manner, selecting the right topics to focus on, considering time management and planning of deliverables. A flexible approach to filling this position is essential.
• Knowledge of the Dutch language is a pre.
• You find inspiration in being part of a closely collaborating international team and you are willing to travel between your place of work (Arnhem or Brussels) and other places in Europe for meetings and projects.

• In first instance a one year contract with the possibility of a permanent position in the future based on 32 - 40 hours per week
• A base salary in scale 9: € 4.816,- to € 9.472,- per month with 8% holiday allowance and 6% year-end bonus. Job grading is based on education, experience, knowledge and internal equity.
• A solid pension via ABP: we pay 70% of your premium.
• 43 vacation days per year.

Het doel van dit kennismakingsgesprek is om meer te weten te komen over jouw achtergrond, ambities en competenties. Daarbij maken we gebruik van de STARR-methodiek en bespreken we jouw ervaringen aan de hand van praktische voorbeelden uit eerdere werkzaamheden en activiteiten. Natuurlijk vertellen we je ook graag meer over de functie, het team en TenneT als organisatie. Na een paar dagen bellen we je op om onze ervaringen te delen.

In dit gesprek gaan we wat dieper in op de match. In dit gesprek maak je kennis met twee andere collega's. Je leert elkaar beter kennen en gaat meer inhoudelijk de diepte in. Wij zijn graag transparant en eerlijk in wat het werk inhoudt. Dan gaan we over naar het aanbod.

Assessment voor leidinggevende functies

Voor leidinggevende functies vinden we het belangrijk om meer te ontdekken over jouw capaciteiten, drijfveren en kwaliteiten. Dan nodigen we je uit om een assessment te doen. Je hoort vooraf wat het assessment inhoudt en hoe het werkt. De resultaten mag je natuurlijk altijd zelf inzien.

We zullen je snel een goed aanbod doen. Je krijgt een salarisvoorstel en een overzicht van ons arbeidsvoorwaardenpakket.

Met een ondertekende arbeidsovereenkomst op zak is er nog één stap te gaan: de pre employment screening. TenneT heeft de maatschappelijke taak om Nederland 24/7 aan te houden. We moeten risico's op verstoringen zoveel mogelijk uitsluiten. Daarom vragen we van elke medewerker minimaal een Verklaring Omtrent Gedrag. Als blijkt dat er geen bezwaren zijn tegen je aanstelling, staat niets jouw start meer in de weg. Voor sommige functies is een VOG niet afdoende en volgt een uitvoerige screening, zoals een AIVD. Jij kan pas van start gaan wanneer de screening(s) succesvol zijn afgerond.

Nadat alles rond is ga je op de eerste werkdag van de maand starten met jouw onboarding bij TenneT. Twee dagen met al jouw nieuwe collega's om te ontdekken wie TenneT is en hoe wij werken. Je leert alle ins & outs kennen. Daarna ga je verder met onboarden binnen je team.
